Strategic Controller

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Business Controller to join the Strategic Control team at Babyshop Group to maximize global sales and profit through strategic analysis and strategic output. You will be part of a diverse team and have a broad responsibility from business partnering with the buying department to playing a major role in the global cash flow planning.

The business controller will drive performance throughout the lifecycle of our inventory, starting with the buying decision and ending with sales to the end customer. You will be an integral team player across different teams to secure the optimal buy across our full range of assortment as well as to maximize trading performance across all our storefronts.

THE ROLE

• Supporting in quarterly forecasting and budgeting cycles
• Drive assortment composition and budgets across the Group in accordance with the overall strategy
• Drive business analysis to track performance across the assortment and ensuring that key insights are directly and indirectly made available to cross-functional forums
• Development of tools (e.g. in Power-BI) to support decision-making
• Implementation of new monthly follow-up processes across the Buying department in order to ensure inventory turnover with optimal profitability
• Identifying needs for and take part in developing and establishing processes within the Strategic Control team
• Take part in various projects within the Finance/BC area

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

• 5+ years working experience from a controller role or similar in e-commerce or retail
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to work
• Comfortable in financial planning as well as budget and forecasting process
• Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent excel skills
• Experience from working in Power-BI is meriting
