Sourcing Manager Proprietary Brands

This role is a part of the Babyshop Group’s Proprietary Brands department. The Employee will report to the Division Manager Proprietary Brands. As the Sourcing Manager within our Proprietary Brands team you should generate, implement and drive sourcing strategies for the full range of categories and are responsible for the overall production timelines and optimization

Core Responsibilities and goals:

  • Responsible for managing the successful execution of sourced programs for Babyshop Group’s own brands. Making sure all products are sourced with the highest quality, best price and lowest cost of capital.

  • Generating and implementing efficient sourcing strategies per product group for our portfolio of brands, a mix of categories within; kids outerwear, toys and baby/kids room interior, as well as operationally executing on these strategies together with relevant stakeholders.

  • Lead and develop supplier lifecycle management; sourcing, onboarding, setting goals and conduct supplier performance assessments and business reviews.

  • Manage and negotiate supplier agreements & guidelines and maintain as well as build strong business relationships with suppliers.

  • Responsible for ensuring that production operations are managed with efficiency, control and that potential risks in the supply base are identified and mitigated.

  • Responsible for optimising delivery timings to ensure warehouse capacity and furthermore work with Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure they have visibility and forecasts to ensure pricing and terms with logistic partners.

  • Work closely with the team of Product Managers and Designers to increase efficiency in production by leading short- and long term projects in the purchasing processes from a sustainability, cost and time perspective.

  • Set the CSR and sustainability directions for our brands and products in a tight collaboration with CSR & Sustainability Manager and additionally make sure all suppliers follow the set requirements. 

  • Operationally responsible for transparency & traceability in supply chain.

Requirements and traits:

  • 5+ years experience from a purchasing organisation buying or developing seasonal products directly from factories or agents in a retail or e-commerce company

  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing Manager/Specialist within outerwear or other textile products

  • Knowledge of new product development within seasonal consumer goods

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Swedish and English (Chinese meriting)

  • Experience from BSCI is meriting 


Start: As soon as possible  
 40h/week, Permanent employment with six months’ probation period
HQ in Stockholm, Östermalm
