About this role

We are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to join the Babyshop Group. This role will work closely with the Performance, Ecommerce, and Tech teams, supporting the overall strategy and leading day-to-day execution of our SEO program. It will focus heavily on driving the technical SEO agenda with our IT partners and management oversight of the in-house content team and external agency. Candidates should have a strong technical SEO experience, ideally having worked on large scale enterprise/ecom websites. They should be passionate about SEO, take an analytical approach to problem solving and be driven by curiosity.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive SEO agenda focusing on both the technical and content optimization programs
  • Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams and demonstrate ability to prioritize accordingly based on ROI impact analysis
  • Develop solutions to scale SEO optimizations and enhancements 
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing leadership, Product & Tech to define/prioritize SEO roadmap initiatives and ensure best practices
  • Conduct site crawls and log file analysis to monitor site hygiene, identify new opportunities or remediate issues
  • Manage SEO resources (internal/agency) to educate and grow their capabilities, set priorities and ultimately deliver on the SEO program goals
  • Oversee ongoing reporting requirements (daily monitoring/weekly performance recaps/ad hoc analysis), communicate performance to business stakeholders and use data to inform strategic decisions
  • Educate internal teams across the organization on SEO best practices, establish self as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization
  • Keep pulse on the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and monitor competitive pressures
  • Collaborate with cross-channel partners, specifically SEM, in support of holistic digital strategies

Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of SEO experience in-house or agency, retail ecom and/or site development experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale SEO programs as both a leader and individual contributor
  • Deep knowledge of Javascript SEO best practices, Client vs. Server-Side Rendering and experience working on Single Page Application (SPA) websites
  • In-depth experience with web analytics platforms (required): Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console/Bing Webmaster Tools
  • In-depth experience with enterprise SEO platforms (required): SEMRush/BrightEdge/Conductor, Botify/DeepCrawl, and Screaming Frog
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of broader digital marketing landscape and SEOs role within the mix, with experience collaborating across channels

Extent: 40h/week, Permanent employment with six months’ probation period
