ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Data Science Lead to join Babyshop in building a next-generation intelligent platform for online premium children's clothes. You will lead and work in a small team of Data Scientists to help build and optimize, through research and experimentation, our data-driven products. We also love innovative ideas!

Data Science plays a vital role in Babyshop’s organization, however we have a lot of interesting projects in our roadmap, hence giving you an opportunity to shape solutions and implementations at an interesting stage in our journey.

Our biggest focus area has been creating a personalized digital experience for our customers, such as real time recommendation engines and clustering of the customer base. Since then, we have added new data science areas such as developing an in-house ML based replenishment system and using ML to optimize our digital marketing through Customer Lifetime Value modelling.

In the role as Head of Data Science, you’ll be responsible for a team of three people and report directly to the CTO.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, mentor and empower a team of Data Scientists

  • Design and engineer algorithms in primarily one of these domains: Ranking, Recommender systems, Computer vision and Time series forecasting
  • Conduct practical research with a scientific mindset, and a focus on delivery
  • Translate ML/Analytics capabilities for non-technical audiences, both operational employees and senior executives, to help the organization prioritize
  • Ensure high standards of technical excellence for all Data Science efforts, adopting best practices from other organizations and vetting new technologies or frameworks when appropriate
  • Help in the design of new features in the product, and innovation inside the company

WHO YOU ARE
