About this role

We are looking for our next Buyer to become a part of our Buying team. In this role you will run the Baby and Travel assortment in line with the goals of the overall team and business. As a Buyer, you will develop business strategies and assortments plans, identify opportunities to grow the business and manage the buying process while maximizing profitability and efficiency.

Working closely together with your buying team, stakeholders across the company and other functions who support your job, your aim is to create the most attractive offer in the markets.

You will run the daily business of certain key brands and item categories with considerable importance to the category results. A strong relationship and tight dialogue with suppliers through the entire supply chain process is an important part of achieving our goals.

This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden and you report to the Head of Products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selection of suppliers, brands and products for all markets and channels in line with the category strategy.
  • Ownership of certain key brands and item categories through the entire supply chain process.
  • Take actions to meet budgets and KPIs for the overall category.
  • Strengthen relationships with suppliers and negotiate vendor allowances and terms of purchase as well as analyze vendor profitability.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure campaigns, seasonal collections and drops are launched on-time and with all the required focus.
  • Be updated regarding certifications and standards for the product areas of responsibility.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3+ years’ experience of buying products directly from vendors/factories in a retail or e-commerce company      
  • Strong excel and analytical skills, and experience with sales and inventory planning
  • A strong sense of ownership and proactive attitude
  • Have a strong communication skill and can effectively work a cross teams
  • You are truly excited about retail in general and consumer products specifically
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in written form
