Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a SEM Specialist (role is called New Acquisition Manager) to play a critical role within the Marketing team. In this role, you will be fully accountable for the growth of new online marketing channels still untapped for Babyshop, starting with Social/Display/PPC, but also the expansion of new online marketing channels as they emerge with technology. At the fore- front of digital marketing experiments, you will be driving our next generation of traffic acquisition.

True commercial owner of the new advertising channel, you will set-up and lead our Direct Response campaigns. Extremely data driven, you ground your actions in data and the analysis of marketing campaigns performance. You will have demonstrable new acquisition experience, be very commercially focused, passionate about Digital Marketing, ecommerce, and able to effectively develop strategies, deliver them, prioritise and multi-task.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Defining and delivering strategies to achieve our traffic, revenue and efficiency targets through new channels.
  • Planning, execution and analysis of the new channels end to end (briefs, creative design, targeting, media buy, testing, tracking set-up, scheduling, etc.) 

  • Devising a testing strategy and a roadmap to grow the new channels (from retargeting, targeted display via ad exchanges, FB ads, etc.) to the forefront of technology across multiple devices 

  • Forecasting sales and preparing media budgets accordingly 

  • Work with the team to make sure our new Acquisition strategy is inside our brand strategy
  • Assist the wider marketing team with other areas of digital marketing, in a flexible manner 


Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record of success managing Digital Display/RTB Direct Response campaigns for e-commerce brands, ideally at an agency, technology provider or trading desk
  • Demonstrable experience of setting up and optimising Facebook ads campaigns for DR
  • Good working knowledge of other social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • Excellent numerical skills, with great business acumen and advanced level in using Excel
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly – and 
distil the most important/relevant information for intelligent strategic development.
  • Good creative eye and ability to prepare creative briefs, (including copy would be a plus)
  • Experience in a fast-paced ecommerce or tech start-up environment
  • Advanced Google Analytics knowledge, good working knowledge of Ad Servers and online display impression tracking
  • Experience of managing PPC campaigns
  • Experience working with retail is a plus
